So loved Day 89

"YES"
"YES"
"YES"

...saying "YES" to random spontaneous plans is something I am so up for and in love with! Buying a flight ticket to fly out the next day just for a weekend getaway, or catch a musical at the very last minute or eat ice cream in the cold whilst walking in the park, lying down on the road to watch the stars in the sky (I'll shower after that!). As long as it doesn't clash with anything too important :)

Back in the office, I used to love having my colleagues around who were always up for random trips here and there, checking out events that we've never been to before and trying out something new like that cheese naan in the heart of KL at some unknown alley, or even a random roadtrip, just for the fun of it!

Thought I'd be missing out on that when I got to London, but hey, I came home to...

Plans to checkout Billingsgate market at 5.30 IN THE MORNING!
Tickets to watch The Script and a CD that came along with it
Tickets to Bruno Mars
Tickets to ATP tour finals
Tickets to Lion King the Musical
Tickets to Singing in The Rain Musical

...and best of all, they were all surprises that I came home to! Going home is almost like a trip to Disneyland on its own! :)

Malaysia when? Day 82

A couple of weeks ago, MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) came to Imperial. And then DBS had a session for Singaporeans. (We Malaysians, pretended to be Singaporeans just so that we could get in :P)

Yesterday, Yingluck Shinawatra came to give a speech at Imperial and of course my Thai friends were super proud, it's so nice to see! We had to fight for a place to attend the talk. Omg, Yingluck is gorgeous! :)

So when will a representative from Malaysia be invited to Imperial? I want to feel proud too please :)

P/s: Yesterday was also the premiere night for Breaking Dawn at Leicester Square, and sooo many people got tickets it's crazy! Everyone left school early to see them Vampires!!

4 Fridays Day 80

Like they say, take the moment and make it last forever.

Sometimes, some things are not meant to be (for you). No matter how hard you've worked for it, or how much better things may have become. Even when in your head, things will turn out perfect at the end of it all. Sometimes, even proper planning can go wrong. No matter how much effort and time you've put in to align the minutes and the things to do/events together.

But no one said that plannings and hard work will always pay off well. No evidence have showed that if you've spent more hours working on something, your outcome will definitely turn out well. They're not positively related after all and the best thing to do is, to expect less, not be hard on yourself and learn to let go and move on to the next thing that is to come.

No effort is a wasted effort, no energy is a wasted energy and no money you cannot find. If anything, everything's a learning step, fun to have had the opportunity to go through it and an experience to cherish, InsyaAllah :)

For now, I've got a surprise exam to study for 9-freaking-am tomorrow (WHYYY?!) and a major exam in December!

2 surprises in a day is a wee bit much for the heart me think. Seriously, why so hectic one this course?! Homesick lah. Aiyo.

Subsets and Sigma Algebras with Praying Water

Since the time changed 2 weeks ago, the prayer time has also shifted to become shorter. And I mean WAY WAY shorter. So, sometimes, zuhur and asar are right smack in between a 3-hours lecture and then I'd need to figure out how to slip out to pray without having to miss my lecture (the multi faith prayer room is so far!) or when I go out to a place where there are no prayer rooms.

And then there's the whole "Do not touch or bump into me" explanation to do to my guy friends. "Why?" '"Because I have 'Praying water'". "What water?!" Hahahaha!!

Being abroad in countries like the UK means, I do not have the privilege of walking into malls with prayer rooms, nor do we have the free time allocated just for prayers in school. Because of this, I've been able to experience something new and that is...

to pray in changing rooms or empty lecture halls!
:)

Seriously, it is the most convenient thing to do. The empty lecture hall is just next door, so I just need to pop over into the ladies, perform abulution and pray! Similarly, usually before leaving the house, I'd take my 'praying water' and then just pretend that I need to try on some clothes at Harrods or something and pray in the changing room.

My coursemates are so used to me bringing my kiblat compass around and they're the most understanding people to have, really, Super blessed Alhamdulillah. They're Christians, Buddhist, free thinkers, but MasyaAllah, they look out for halal food for me and remind me about prayer times even :)

Best part from last week though was when I came out of the empty lecture theatre, one of them said:

"Ok, I stand far away from you! Wait, why can't I touch you then you cannot pray?"
Well to put it simply, "I cannot have skin contact with a guy I can potentially marrĂ¿"
"So means if you touch me you can marry me?"
"Well....yeah. If you convert"
"My religion needs the other to convert"
"Then duhhh, I won't marry you"
"So means I can touch you?"
"No! How to explain this simply? Just that in reality, if you like me, I like you, I love you, you love me, we see a future together, then we may decide to marry and that is legal. So you are potentially someone I can marry. You're like a subset"
"Ahhh! Got it! There's many subsets, so I'm one of the element of a sigma algebra. So you cannot touch aiman coz he's also a subset of the probability space, and him and him and him *points at random guys*"
"Yes! But Aiman's like F measurable at all subscript t. Why are you explaining in maths terms?!"
"Hahaha! Aiman has a sum symbol in front of him. *Still laughing* It's easier to understand"
"You're so gonna ace your exams"

Before getting hitched Day 76

Exactly how I imagine an awesome couple to be, they're a perfect match :)
Every. Single. Day.
For a whole week!

They're getting married in a couple of weeks, and I cannot be more happy for them! So we decided, since this will be the last trip abroad before they get bogged down with wedding preparations, we'd do everything together! From the fun things, stupid conversations, to the stressful wedding stuff. So they waited for me to finish school before having dinner, to complete my courseworks before we go shopping. I'm always so spoiled :):):):)

A whole entire week! Well, from now till the wedding day, we've got a mission to accomplish, so stay tune till we reveal it!
I love you Nona!! :)
Thanks for a whole week of love and crazy fun times! Countdown till I arrive back in Malaysia and straight to her house for a bridal do :)

#TooMuchDrama Day 70

London has become too cold and as much as I hate wearing boots, they are out to play!!
Anyway...Today just has to go into the post! Just the events, but not many details since there were too many details involved and I'm too filled with adrenaline to write them all down.

Lost my Blackberry earlier today and I died for a while.

Afterwards, I had dinner with Nona and Mateen and Stella and then....MICHAEL BUBLE walked in with his wife, smiled and sat at the table next to us. MICHAEL BUBLE OK???!!!!!!!!! Guess who is going to his concert in London next year?! Moi!!!!! :)))))
I died for the second time.

I need Chamomile tea now to calm down. This is too much drama for a (Sun)day.

*soaks feet in hot water and sips chamomile tea with honey*
