Young Corporate Malaysians went live

Today was a media day for Young Corporate Malaysians

I was very honoured to be invited to the Breakfast Club at Bernama TV

Like everyone don't know me already. I'm the worse when it comes to dressing up, all pretty, all girly, all beautiful. If anything, I often wake up 10 minutes before I'm scheduled to leave the house. What more these days, when I treasure sleep a million times more than before.

So, this was how I looked like when I made my way to Bernama TV.
Rejected.

"Eh, you're going on TV with Ben! This is unacceptable. We need to prep you up! Now sit!"

Well according to Ben, apparently, girls take way longer to be prep-ed up. Next thing I know, I was a play doll

Ya Allah. Even my hair was rejected! It's too straight to look cool on TV. haha!

Last time I did a show, it was the same case. I mean, come on, morning shows when you've not gotten enough sleep, not my favourite to say the least. *flips hair*
But one thing for definite, you feel the love! As they try to make you look your best, asking you if you're hungry, whether you want to drink, whether you're ok with this and that. Definitely a Princess-class treatment.

Gosh, I love the Bernama TV team already, from the make up artist to the whole entire team. Amazing bunch of people they are, I swear!

So, after a couple of sneezes, and "Ahhh, what are you doing to my hair?!" and "Eeee, why so much make up? Nanti, I need to wash it all off anyway when I go for prayers. Kan dah waste your make up supply"

I'm all ready!

I was ok when I got myself to the studio. I was still ok when Ben and I went to grab a quick drink. I was still ok when I watch all the other shows before me.

Then it was:
"Breakfast with Alia Ishak
Convenor
Young Corporate Malaysians

Hosted by Ben Ibrahim"

*butterflies in the stomach*

Let's just say, I couldn't ask for a better host than Ben himself!
He's an amazing host, excellent and passionate at what he does, and definitely the one who brought the show alive. His ability to engage well with the guest speaker, the audience, know what I want to put across and most of all, at calming me down when I was a wee bit nervous. An easy-going personality, it made it easier for me to understand the media requirements as he taught me some useful tips when doing a show as well.

Ben and I came out to a smiling team waiting outside the studio for us to come out, and they said nothing but encouraging words. The way they smiled and spoke made it seem like it was a flawless show in there, although I know I was a lil nervous earlier. They definitely made my day a happy one! :)

Alhamdulillah, it was a great show, I got my points across and it all went well :)

Ahhh, a good start to the day. Well, as you know I was already a happy girl leaving the Bernama studio, and next thing I know, PwC sent me a message and congratulated YCM on the full article featured in Star Biz today. Read here  :)

The energy that I get as I communicate with these amazing and supportive people/team is just overwhelming! Their gestures have helped us a lot today, no doubt about that.

So, on behalf of YCM, I would like to take this opportunity to greatly thank Bernama TV and StarBiz from the bottom of my heart for helping us, taking it to the next level and making this summit happen!

2 days till the event and...
These are my new bestfriends I bring along with me everywhere I go these days.

As much as it is tiring, every moment has to be captured. As much as it is sometimes confusing, I still need to figure out which of the 3 phones are ringing. As much as it makes me look like a nerd, I love my numbers and these days, every number I punch in the calculator is an important number

So, if I'm holding everything in my hand, I swear I don't even need a bag to go! I look like a zombie too these days just in case you guys might not recognize me at the summit. Don't forget to register here and I'll see you guys at Nikko Hotel this Saturday!! Come say hi :)
