Wan Mohd Firdaus

28th of March : The day Firdaus was expected to arrive in London, and coincidentally we had the normal usually-Friday-night UKEC meeting at Malaysia Hall. I don't think I could actually explain in words how excited and happy I was when Firdaus came over the meeting room to say hi! *smiles* I've missed him and it surely did bring many memories from last year. Dahlah in Malaysia Hall and during a UKEC meeting...brought me back to those days when I was working under his orders. The Captain Planet whose ambitions all revolved around and about saving the world! Really, I'm not kidding... =) From a grand Projek Amanat Negara to the First (ever) Malaysian Student Leaders Summit!

The whole week, seeing him every other day, talking to him and catching up with him brought just more good to me as always and this happens everytime he comes to visit. He who has the power to motivate me when motivation was nowhere near and he who is able to actually make me speak what was actually eating me up inside. See, why I call him Captain Planet? hehe =) The night he sent me and Alia S home, it just made us realize why we really sayang this Captain Planet! The one I admire and the factor that made me join the UKEC. The Projek Amanat Negara speaker who is kind to others and inspire everyone around him as much as possible.

He helped the whole team led by Khai for Career's Fair and PAn in every possible way he could, and it's a happy thing helping out and remembering those days when he used to be the Chairman. To the whole UKEC team, JOB WELL DONE for Career's Fair and the 5th Projek Amanat Negara! Yet another success this year :)

Anyway, I guess I'm stronger this time compared to a few months back when I saw him leave back for Malaysia. Today, Alee and I sent him off yet again! but this time....It was more of an Amazing Race! (see video, thanks to Alee!! :) ) It's gonna be summer soon, and that means the 2nd MSLS is approaching! We'll get to see him more often in Malaysia provided he does get some time off from IRDA!


7th April : The day Mr Captain Planet flies back to where he belong...Back to being the one with no special officers anymore but more like being a special officer himself! hahaha....Good luck with work back in Johor!

On another note, I managed to find motivation the past week, thanks to the various individuals who made me realize that things will work out if you know how to and not who to...What's hot and what's not, getting a second "degree" and taking the biggest risk you could and not in fear of failures. We're still young, there's still time to make mistakes and improve it!
All that was found this whole week with just a simple chat with them : WM Firdaus, Dato' Johan Raslan, Tengku Zafrul Aziz and Ahmad Shahizam Shariff.

Apart from that, I met the whole Khazanah team who were down for UKEC career's fair last weekend! Everyone has gone back now except for Hasli and Rezal who stays here in UK :) What a refreshing week it has been indeed. I was brought back to "Malaysia" for a week there and I'm happy. Well, basically it reminded me most of my summer back in Malaysia. MSLS with the UKEC team, internship with Khazanah, and the whole lot of cherished times.





Exams are soon and then summer, work work work, internship and it'll be the time to welcome the 2nd Malaysian Sudent Leaders Summit. *excited!*

A very full week! From Career's Fair, to Projek Amanat Negara, a sunny London to the thickest snow in London after bout 20 years the next day, internship interviews to Malaysian Society AGM. Very lah sangat full! =) I love the pressure though.
