Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-24

I clearly remembered last year, on one fine day. I was in London. Abang was in Italy. Both of us had a time difference of 8 hours or so backwards from home, and it was the day Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-23 would be aired live on TV 3 back at home at 9pm. So that made it 1 pm OUR time abroad.

Before the big day, we already got a wee bit excited that Ili would be performing with Aizat and so, we tried getting through all channels possible just to make sure we will get to watch the event live. Even if it meant to skip lectures. It was easy for us that Juai had all the necessary links and access codes.

So that was exactly what I did. Planned my day so that I would go to all classes except for when AJL was showing live, get all materials for the class I'd miss for when I would be a couch potato shouting my lungs out for Aizat and made sure connection was in perfect tip top condition.

As expected, I didn't even move from where I was, glued to the laptop whose screen kept refreshing at intervals and shouting for Aizat and Ili like I was one of those audience in the stadium. I bet my housemates thought I was crazy at that time, but because they love me, they just didn't say it. Kan? :) I must say, it was really clear and truly inspiring moments kept spurring seeing these talents perform with great passion like it is their last performance that they'd make. Amazing indeed. I was motivated just by watching them! (but, I do get motivated at the slightest things. So don't count)

Well, this year I had the privilege to watch the show, LIVE, in the stadium, as a live audience, wearing Aizat's fan t-shirt (which obviously soooo tak kena with the dress that I wore, but anything to build the already-huge fan base and support and for you la Aizat, Ili, Cuki, Amar Anas). Well this was how it went.

*imagine*
So when Aizat performs, I'll start shouting my lungs out, "GO AIZAT! GO JUAI! GO CUKI! I LOVE YOU MUHAMMAD AIZAT AMDAN!" (Ok, actually that is Adli's version of cheering at a concert. Just embarass yourself. ) and start jumping around like as if I just scored 30 A1s for SPM. I think the person beside me hated me already after Aizat performed his first song! HAHA! Sorrry kak. I bet she didn't know Aizat had another song later on. Oh well... She'll be more prepared after I guess :P And then I'll start singing along with his song, especially Kau Aku, I was already standing and blocking all the others behind me! so I figured too that uploading the video would be a bad idea since you'd probably hear me singing instead of Aizat.

Then... When some others performed, and it got a little too loud, with the electric guitar and me not getting what they're saying, maybe because they sing to close to the mic, I try very hard to listen, but when I cannot capture already and my brain shuts down because it was a bit too loud, I took a 2 minutes nap. I probably shouldn't mention at whose song that I nap. hehehe... But seriously, even in my nap, I could hear his/her singing still, so win-win situation! :)

SPECTACULAR!
That's the word for last night's 24th AJL! Come the results bit, Yan, Ain and I got nervous. Too nervous so much so that when Aizat was crowned the winner of the 24th AJL and looking at his expression, I cried and cheered at the same time. hahaha! So terror, so talented, he's surely gonna go a long way! So happy for him. I'd say that good things do come to those who do good to others :) His family and him has definitely done so many community work and charity for the good of others, it's not surprising why on his part, it's called murah rezeki, Alhamdulillah :) He deserved it!

We went back stage, and funnily, "lil Aizat" cried too. Awww. and so did some of the other school kids who made it successful for Kau Aku. SO ADORABLE I FEEL LIKE TAKING THEM ALL BACK HOME! it's an even nicer feeling when I don't even know them and they come up to me and hugged me and said "kita menanggggg!". Eeee, so comel, geram ok!
That's the lil ones. Come the older ones now. Kakakku was overwhelmed herself! But she was calm, so was Anas and Jerry and Alif was all excited telling me to stay back sampai habis and then came Cuki! He was too overwhelmed, that when I congratulated him and gave him a big hug, he cried even more. Oh dearrrr. But I'd understand. They did an amazing job!! Just excellent :):):) The whole crew!

Energy drained, I was already half awake by the time we got back to Yan's and seeing Haris sleeping soundly made me even sleepy by then. So I quickly washed up and had a little girly session with Yan like we used to in London before Haris wriggled for attention. So Mummy continued washing up, whilst I took this shift to jaga Haris. It's really nice when they recognize who you are and in Haris' case, he sat down, with eyes still closed, and slowly crawled on my lap and slept on my stomach. So I decided to lie down beside him and let him snuggle up beside me and wrap his arms around my neck. Such a beautiful creation he is, I accompanied him till mummy Yan was all washed up and ready to take over and jaga Haris :)

I went to sleep after, well very aware that I have to wake up in 4 hours time to get ready for work. I think I slept almost immediately when I put my head on the pillow! Deeeeeeep sleeeeep before my iPhone beep. The trouble with iPhones is that if you don't open up that message, it'll prompt you at intervals. First time I let it go, and then it kept waking me up, so I gave in, woke up to read it before I realized that it's 4.30 am in the morning and I have a bad sore throat! and Aizat was still awake. Aiyooooooo... and when I read the last line which said "...have a good rest for work tomorrow k..." I was dreading the next 2 hours when I need to wake up! Pffft..... I woke up with a sore throat and a really sleepy head and systems in the body! Well, all were worth it :)

Well well well, I had a splendid time experiencing Anugerah Juara Lagu this year! :) That had to be my first ever proper "concert"! Thanks for the tickets to the Amdans and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS again to Aizat Amdan, Juai Amdan, Cuki, Anas Amdan, Amar Amdan, Amir Amdan, Alif Amdan, Aunty Fiena, Uncle Amdan, all the school kids and the whole crew!

P/s : Pictures will be up soon. I can't be bothered to find my USB now. Futsal training just killed me
