I love my fruits

Bring me out shopping for clothes, or one of those girl-wirly-hundreds-of-hours-of-walking in the shopping mall, and I'd whine and beg you to go home. I pity mum sometimes, coz I think dad's genes may have been stronger when they had me. I get sleepy. So if you spot my family out there, you'll see me and dad sitting on the bench outside waiting for mum instead.

But, there's an exception....I'm such a sucker for gadgets!
I swear if Apple or Blackberry were to introduce a new product and/or an upgrade of their old products, I'd be one of those psychotic (not in an extreme manner of course) customer, who won't stop talking about it, or refreshing that page on the browser to read em reviews and checking out on places where they have launched it!

Read reviews, make comparisons, check out the price, check out its accessories' prices, not-complaining standing in the shop testing it out for a million hours and God knows what else, you name it. However, buy first think later is often the case. Whether I regret it or not after, that's a whole different story. Usually never la :) Man, I should get premiere discounts, or special commission or even a stake in their shareholdings for my contribution. I'm such a loyal customer

So anyway, when all these were announced, I was practically babbling non-stop at my colleagues at work, at my parents, to my friends (and secretly wishing I'm entitled to bonus payouts. I wish! haha)

Sometimes I wonder how Steve retains his customer base and at the same time only develop an upgrade of the earlier products. Brand loyalty I'm sure. Or not, damn crazy customers like me.
It's always the case of I want it. and not I need it. That's the thing I'm amazed about!

I just got my iTouch last year, and I already have the itch to get the new iTouch. I haven't even touch maximum storage yet! Sheesh... I just got my iPhone last year too, and I'm already eyeing the iPhone 4.

One thing good about my parents is that, since abang and I were little, they made sure we know the real value of money and how it "doesn't just come down from the sky", so if I want it, then I will have to save up for it! I have an obvious flaw to top that up too. I don't sell my old one when I get a new one. I choose to believe that all my gadgets and belongings for that matter have feelings. So if I sell it, I'll only make it sad. Poor baby. So, no sell!

It used to be different when I was a student. There were less commitments and all I had to do was to just study my butt off. My purpose in life when I was a student was just to make sure I come back with a degree. So, when I wanted that iTouch and what not, I just needed to live on cucumber and tap water. Easy right! In a few months, you'd save enough to get that iPod shuffle which used to be £49. haha! Ok la, not that desperate, but it was easier to save when you're a student, coz things were more routine for you everyday, hence easier to plan.

Now that I'm working, there are definitely more commitments, more responsibilities. So I've slowed down on my buy first think later game and would always ask myself if I really need it. Sometimes, I just really want it, it becomes need. My head tells me, 2 wants make a need! :P haha! Ok la, these days I will always and always always tell myself, "You buy now, and trust me, a newer one will come out in 4/5 months time. So might as well wait that 4 to 5 months" and of course when the 4th month come, I'd tell myself the same thing again! It works, really!

Oh well, hopefully one day I can be a successful person and can buy anything, anytime I want. Amin :)

So, which should I get? This?

or this?

Justttt kidding... I have no money! Plus, my baby Bold and baby 3GS would probably retaliate if I got got them a new family member. They're hardly a year old each. Not to mention, masa khutbah raya semalam, the Imam reminded us to not give in to nafsu! *smacks forehead Alia, you forget so quickly*
